Most properties for sale on this website are in the UK and Spain though we can access property in at least 27 countries. These properties are sold privately and by estate agents.

There are significant differences in the costs attached to selling and buying property in each country. Estate agents in Spain will suggest you allow for costs* of between 10% and 12% on top of the price of the property. However, the true costs add up to around 20% (UK 10%) of the purchase price as agents in Spain will have already added their commission in with the price of the property. This means in Spain the buyer pays the commission that in the UK the seller would pay. These extra costs often get overlooked because they are so well hidden.

*Taxes, lawyers, banks, mortgage brokers, etc.
